The job is huge and our capacity limited, so we need to focus our efforts to have the greatest impact. Climate change is already here. How we respond is crucial to our future safety and prosperity. The full impact from today’s greenhouse gas emissions won’t be felt for a decade or more, so we need to act now to prevent a worst case scenario future.
Our circle of concern is broad, spanning five key themes relating to climate change and environmental issues namely active transport, renewable energy, rethinking waste, resilient buildings and healthy environments.
Our circle of influence has medium impact through advocacy, campaigning and lobbying the various levels of government as well as business and industry.
Our circle of control is narrow and achievable through the actions we take in our homes and our local environments. We make decisions based on our values and capacity so that we can have the greatest impact.
