About

Who we are

Moonee Valley Sustainability (MVS) is a community organisation based in the municipality of Moonee Valley (Naarm/Melbourne, Australia). We are a volunteer-run, non-profit registered charity. We care for the places we live, we bring people together and we speak up for climate action.

What we do

Firstly, we build relationships through dialogue and values-led activities. From there our approach is to,

  • Act locally by conducting innovative projects to showcase solutions.
  • Educate ourselves, raise awareness and empower others to take meaningful action.
  • Advocate for policy change and priority funding to help meet our community goals.
  • Collaborate to increase our impact and accelerate the pace of change required and.

Caring for Country and acting on climate is a huge task and our capacity is limited, so we engage our community in achievable, local events that empower people to make a difference right at their very own doorstep.
