Healthy Environment

We are your local collective for a practical and operational Green Plan. Our aim is to work closely with Moonee Valley City Council to help them activate their Green Plan.

Moonee Valley has 30 Hectares of conservation areas, including pockets of remnant vegetation that have survived since European colonisation. We want to help support these conservation areas and build our urban forest to create cool, green corridors throughout our municipality. We know this is critically important for both mental and physical health.

A healthy urban forest is one of the most effective ways to stave off the impacts of heat stress and flood risk and can improve health outcomes for wildlife and people. This urban forest can be created on both public (nature strips) and private (home gardens) land.

Help us champion that change!
